Each Ring Alarm Pack contains the base station (17cm x 17cm x 3.7cm) that operates on ethernet, Wi-Fi and Z-Wave (plus cellular backup with Ring’s Protect Plus subscription).
The Ring Alarm System has 3 modes: Away, Home and Disarmed. Home will keep a selection of sensors active (eg your glass break sensors), Away arms all sensors and Disarmed disables all sensors. Users can switch between modes by pressing the mode button on the keypad and entering their PIN.

“Subscription was cancelled but they still took the money. Nightmare getting the money back. They provide services in Ireland but they only have a UK number, which costs an arm and a leg. Camera is so bad as well. Never again”
“Ring cameras are simply no fit for purpose. Reasons:
1 Extremely short battery life, usually a week before they need recharging which is impractical. No warning, they just go off line. Out of four cameras after a week two had already gone off line. They want you to buy £50 solar which won’t work in a UK winter.
2 Motion detection. Once the subscription expired, then AI nolonger so it is over sensitive on size and cannot work out that a pigeon or a leaf will not break into your house.
3 Motion detection. Generally poor at distance as it cannot detect humans 20 foot away, they need to be close.
4 Rotation. Getting a good position not easy.
5 WIFI. Generally needs to be fairly close to WIFI to work
6 Subscription. £80 is a lot to pay for rubbish, so we did not bother & will get a refund from Amazon.
Overall a poor product that should not be on sale in the UK. They look good but don’t perform”
“I wrote a negative review for ring and removed it as I really dug into this and finally found out that all your ring doorbells will work perfectly if you have the correct broadband connection. I called my provider EE and they looked into this for me and rebooted the system since then my ring doorbell has worked perfectly. So if anyone reads this please do your research as it’s not ring to blame but your broadband provider.
If you do have any issues with your wifi you may need a wifi booster but before you buy this please contact your provider and ask them to check why your wifi keeps dropping out.
